What Makes You Proud to be a Massage Therapist?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\nOh gosh, this feels so self serving, haha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am most proud of the education I give to clients in the clinic. Teaching them that injury is not the end of the world, giving them autonomy over their health and\/or recovery and giving them the time, resources and support to learn alongside me. We have such a collaborative approach to care in our clinic and their confidence in our ability as a team (therapist and client) is the thing I am most proud of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When you\u2019re not working, how do you like to spend your time?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\nRiding motorbikes, flying planes and adventuring with my family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What do not many people know about you?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\nI\u2019m notorious for oversharing \u2013 especially if it means getting a laugh out of people. So I\u2019m not sure there\u2019s much people don\u2019t know about me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Why did you want to join the AMT Board?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\nIt was an opportunity to join an incredible organisation and to offer my time and skills for the benefit of our industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
How has it been so far?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\nIt has been so vastly different from one day to the next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What do you hope to achieve during your time on the AMT Board?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\nI don\u2019t have any \u201cgoals\u201d to achieve, but I hope to continue to be of service to AMT, to offer insight, perspective and lots of laughs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What is your \u201csignature\u201d dish?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\nAt the moment, a Teriyaki beef & vege bowl. So easy and quick!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What wisdom do you have for other massage therapists?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\nFar out, it is a tricky time to be in a client-facing industry. It\u2019s hard to know if we\u2019re making the right decision for ourselves, our families, our clients and our community. Get clear on your personal values, your \u201cWHY\u201d, and only make decisions on your best days. I can\u2019t remember who said this to me, but years ago I was told, \u201cNever quit anything on a bad day\u201d and it\u2019s probably been the best advice I\u2019ve ever been given.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

It\u2019s hard to know if we\u2019re making the right decision for ourselves, our families, our clients and our community. Get clear on your personal values, your \u201cWHY\u201d, and only make decisions on your best days.
